NAWT
The mission of the National Association of Women in Timber is to support, educate, and connect women in the timber industry
Lori founded NAWT in 2019 after spending years alongside women in the timber industry who were highly capable and deeply invested in their work, yet often lacked access to professional networks, education, and clear pathways into leadership within the industry.
“I remember approaching my boss, Jeremy Kessinger, asking him if there was a group of women working in the industry that met to network and build relationships. He simply replied, “not that I know of.” At that point I knew it was up to me to create something that would leave a lasting impact on the industry.”
Programs
Each year, the NAWT hosts an annual conference, bringing together women from across the country for an opportunity to learn, connect, and gain invaluable experience from industry leaders.
In 2026-2027, the NAWT is seeking to offer and attend additional programs, including webinars, lunch & learn events, and career fairs. If you are interested in partnering with us, please get in touch using the form below.
Scholarships
Each year, the NAWT provides a scholarship to a woman pursuing forestry or another related degree at a collegiate level. To learn more about past scholarship recipients, how to apply to receive a scholarship, or how to donate, visit the link below.
